City of Atlanta municipal elections on November 5

The 2013 City of Atlanta Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. The polls will be open from 7 am – 8 pm. Voters who have registered by October 7 will vote to fill the Offices of Mayor, City Council President, City Council Members, School Board Members and Municipal Court Judges.

This is a very important election with contested races for many school board and city council seats. We urge all Lake Claire residents to vote.

VERIFY VOTING STATUS:

Make sure you are registered to vote in the November 5th election. The deadline to register was October 7th, 2013. CLICK HERE to confirm your voter registration is up-to-date and find out where your voting location is (though please note that residents listed as voting at Mary Lin will actually vote at Epworth Church).

ABSENTEE VOTING:

CLICK HERE to download and print an absentee voting application. You do NOT need to give a reason to vote via absentee ballot. Applications should be submitted asap to be sure you receive the ballot in time.Then mail it here: Fulton County Election Supervisor 130 Peachtree Street SW, Suite 2186 F Atlanta, GA 30303-3460. Or, fax it to (404) 730-7024. (Note that Fulton County will be administering elections for both Fulton and Dekalb residents living in the City of Atlanta.)

Your ballot must be received no later than 7 pm on November 5, 2013.

EARLY VOTING:

Early voting begins on October 14.  CLICK HERE to find out about early voting locations, dates and times. The closest location to Candler Park is the Coan Recreation Center at 1530 Woodbine Avenue, SE Atlanta, GA 30317. It is open from October 26 – November 1 (closed on Sunday) from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

The polls will be open from 7 am – 8 pm on November 5, 2013. Busy times are historically from 7:00 am – 9:30 am, 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm, and during the lunch hour.
