Lake Claire Schools update (and Meeting TONIGHT!)

Schools Update:

Lake Claire met to discuss our position on schools on Saturday, and we had a very good discussion:

From our Schools Committee:

Thank you to all of you who attended this morning’s meeting on the new demographic options. I appreciate the input and dialogue we got! For those of you who did not attend, a few key points:
LCN overwhelmingly supports Option A.
The Schools Committee will prepare a formal position statement as well as some talking points for neighbors. We will also give you information on how to provide feedback to APS, Superintendent Davis, and the Atlanta Board of Education as soon as we know the format and deadlines.
If you are willing to serve as a neighborhood liaison/block captain, please visit: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B4FA5AF2B0-neigborhood. We will be engaging in a door-to-door effort with a petition once we have a formal statement.
Again, thank you!
Sherry
