Announcements and current issues:

Nancy Dorsner sent a message about the Halloween Parade.  New residents are especially encouraged to participate!  It’s a fun event for everybody, adults included, to dress up in creative ways and then enjoy a party in Lake Claire Park. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Nancy at comm@lakeclaire.org

Joe mentioned the problem at 2058 Howard Circle.   The resident at that property is in violation of the City’s zoning code because a large amount of junk accumulated in the back yard.   However, the code enforcement department has not been able to serve a citation because the resident has been able to avoid being served.   Nic said he would check into the situation to see what more can be done.

Official slate of LCN officers for 2023:  Eileen O’Neill, Treasurer; Beth Grashof, Zoning: Nancy Dorsner, Communications; Pen Sherwood, Fundraising; Miriam Herbers, Safety; Melissa Pressman, Environment; Carol Holliday, Planning / NPU; Joe Agee, President

No nominations can be made after the Oct. meeting.  Voting by the membership will take place at the next regular LCN meeting on November 17.
