  • There were many concerns expressed about how violations are determined and the difficulty residents, especially older ones with limited means, can respond once cited. There were also questions about tenants being cited along with or instead of the actual owner of the property.   Talley emphasized that if she is contacted immediately after a citation is issued she can stop the process if an error has been made.  However the difficulty of determining exactly what constitutes a code violation remained.    Ms. Tally suggested that residents familiarize themselves with the new regulations regarding housing code violations.  The link is https://library.municode.com/ga/atlanta/codes/code_of_ordinances.
