    2. Discussed how APD uses LPR cameras (license plate readers)

  1. Safety: 
    1. Larceny from auto continues to be a problem; remove all visible items from vehicles when parked. 
    2. The Candler Park Lake Claire Patrol is doing a big renewal push through November. They are also in need 3-4 new volunteers to serve on the board. 

 

Announcements and current issues:

 

  1. Holiday Craft Festival will be held on December 14 from 9 AM – 3 PM at the Frazer Center. Proceeds split between LCN & Mary Lin Elementary. Mary Lin choral groups to sing. 

 

  1. Lake Claire Camera Installation: Lake Claire residents Sheila Ross & Tori Campbell; Megan Pagano, FLOCK Safety; Atlanta Police Department:
    1. Presentation on FLOCK safety cameras. Neighborhood residents would like to have LPR cameras installed in Lake Claire to increase safety, as well as in at McLendon & Clifton businesses area. Megan Pagano of FLOCK (megan@flocksafety.com) presented info about installing and use of cameras. Q & A
  1. Leslie Grant and Michelle Olympiadis of the Atlanta Board of Education discussed the board’s recent  decision not to renew Superintendent Meria Carstarphen’s contract (see Annsley Klerr’s article for details).  

 The next regular meeting will be Oct. 17, 2019
