Trees Atlanta announcement

Trees Atlanta is working with community members to plant trees throughout the Lake Claire neighborhood this fall. Our staff has identified potential planting locations along Clifton Road, but if you’d like trees planted in your right-of-way and/or front yard, we’d love to hear from you!

The program’s intent is to lower summer temperatures and reduce energy consumption by investing in tree canopy cover for neighborhoods in Atlanta. Urban trees decrease energy bills for residents; absorb pollutants; reduce maintenance costs for streets and stormwater infrastructure; increase property values by making neighborhoods more beautiful, walkable, and desirable places to live; and combat the urban heat island effect.

Please visit our website (treesatlanta.org) to learn more about Trees Atlanta’s planting programs and to request a tree. Look out for more details about the neighborhood-wide planting, including opportunities to volunteer, in the coming weeks. If you have any questions about this project or any other Trees Atlanta programming, please email cate@treesatlanta.org.
