A Word from LCN’s Fundraising Chairs

Thank you to all the Lake Claire residents who have donated time and money for past fundraising
events. A special thank you goes out to Cynthia Baer who headed fundraising last year and did a
wonderful job!

Fundraising for Lake Claire keeps Lake Claire Neighbors in the black to offer monetary support to
neighborhood events, periodic charitable donations within Lake Claire and miscellaneous costs such as street sign toppers, and “support our school” stickers and shirts. The largest fundraising event in the last two years, the Lake Claire Tour of Homes and Gardens, profited with the majority of the money allocated to start a Lake Claire Green Space fund.

Our 2012 goals for fundraising still include raising money for Lake Claire Neighbors, to support general neighborhood needs, but we should continue to increase the Green Space fund.

With the green spaces in Lake Claire, the park, the land adjacent to the park, the Harold Avenue Green Space, the Bike Path entrance point, roundabouts, parking bumps, and the path to Southerland Place, we have many ways to experience Lake Claire.

But, we need your support! We generated a list of potential fundraising activities and events for
this year that include traditions such as the Halloween parade, with a twist, a wine tasting and silent auction and a best picture pet contest. Next month, we have a movie in the park planned. So, save the date March 31st and look online at www.lakeclaire.org for more information and ticket donations.

Please contact us to head up an event, volunteer or to donate goods and services.

We welcome your input and suggestions, but can only succeed with your participation. Contact

Respectfully,
